If you a walk up our stairs your attention may be drawn to some amazing Photographs of Birds of prey. They are part of a series called ‘Flight’ and the work of the very talented Dominic Marley, a Crystal Palace local and longtime ago employee of Domali. We remembered him as a college student who travelled to work on a skateboard with ambitions of becoming a photographer.
Fast forward 15 years or so and he is back, not as our kitchen porter but with this amazing exhibition of photographs.
They are for sale at £60 each, an unbelievable price. Dom wants people to be able to afford and enjoy them.
Here are some words from the man himself:
‘Domali cafe has always been a special place for me, it’s where I worked during my time at college and has always been my favourite local eatery since- a warm hub in Crystal Palace.
So it’s with sentiment I’m showing this project here.
The photo’s are part of a personal project with birds of prey shot in a studio I built at a Wildlife park called the Eagle Heights in Kent. A place that has such emphasis on conservation and education and also well worth a visit!
My aim is to make the art work affordable and local, with frames made in Crystal Palace too
